Soup’s On at Roberts Park was the recipient of a very generous donation which has become the seed to help insure the future of the ministry. John and Nedra Greene’s contribution was matched by Prudential Insurance for a total $10,000. During a recent worship service while recognizing the couple for their generosity, Rev. Dr. Andrew Scanlan-Holmes announced the gift will establish the Greene Fund For the Future and that going forward, 10% of every donation received for Soup’s On will go into the Fund for the Future. When asked what it is about Soup’s On that motivates them, John Greene explained it is the guests. Talking with the guests and learning their stories, and the sheer numbers of guests served each week are what touch the couple. John and Nedra are moving to Florida, but will be maintaining a home in Indiana and promise to continue to volunteer and be a friend to Soup’s On at Roberts Park. We are grateful for their selfless generosity to the mission of Soup’s On.
