Our day in Guatemala began with devotions and breakfast, then it was off to tour the medical clinic. As you look out at the Guatemala countryside, you see that no space is wasted. Every square inch of useable ground has corn or other crops planted. Chickens are housed on rooftops. The same holds true for the Mission Guatemala clinic. This facility is multifunctional, as the space is used not only for a health clinic, but also vision services, sewing classes, and computer and typing classes. After lunch, we headed to our work site where we met several teachers and school administrators. We are helping to build a new administration building, and they couldn’t be more excited and thankful. The concrete block walls are up, and we are working to build the roof this week. We are looking forward to Day 3!
