Day 4 began with devotions and breakfast, then it was off to another day of the “concrete bucket brigade.” Together we worked to form the concrete from a mixture of sand, gravel, and cement. We lifted the buckets with a pulley and poured four columns. We would like to say that many hands make light work, but we can only say that many hands made the work possible! We returned to the River House tired and dirty, but were soon refreshed by an evening of authentic Mayan culture. Each person in our group received a blessing from a local Mayan spiritual guide, followed by a ceremony and authentic meal.
We look forward to greeting our beds tonight!
