Howard Boles

Howard Boles was appointed as pastor to Roberts Park United Methodist Church on July 1, 2002.  Prior to that he served churches in Bloomington and Gosport, IN.  He enjoys reading, jogging and playing softball and handball.  "Roberts Park UMC is a great place to be," says Rev. Boles.  "I love the opportunities and challenges of urban ministry."

Kimberly King

Kim King joined the pastoral staff of Roberts Park United Methodist Church in 2007.  Kim believes that “doing ministry in a growing urban setting has possibilities for mirroring God’s vision of humanity. “  Kim enjoys bicycling with her husband and reading.

Brenda Freije

Brenda Freije joined the pastoral staff of Roberts Park in 2009.  Brenda is the lead pastor for The Intersection, a new community of people at Roberts Park that meets for worship Sunday evenings at 5 pm beginning 11/29/09.  Brenda has an M.Div. degree from Christian Theological Seminary and a J.D. from Indiana University School of Law, Bloomington.  Brenda is married to Dick and together they have five children.  Brenda enjoys composing music, playing tennis, and hanging out with her family.

Dick Smith

Dick Smith is a graduate of Purdue University’s Electrical Engineering program.  Dick held several positions with Indian Bell & AT&T and directed IMAGIS, a consortium that developed a computerized, high-resolution aerial photography and mapping databases for Marion County in Indianapolis, IN.  Dick is married to Helen and they are the parents of two adult daughters and seven grandchildren.  Dick has been a member or Roberts Park United Methodist Church for 41 years.

Sheri Kellam Sullivan

Sheri Kellam Sullivan joined the Roberts Park Staff in the Fall of 2009 as the Choir Director.  She comes to Roberts Park with nearly 20 years of church music experience.  She has degrees from Indiana University School of Music and Christian Theological Seminary.  Sheri is a professional soloist and and a life long learner. Sheri is currently working on a book to help new church musicians equip themselves to work more effectively with church communities.

Jerry Gillooly

Jerry Gillooly has been a church organist since 1957!  He joined the staff at Roberts Park United Methodist Church in 2001.  Jerry holds a masters degree from Indiana State University in organ and trumpet.  He taught in Avon Community and Perry Township School systems after college graduation until 1993.  Jerry is married to Pat and they are the parents of two adult daughters and five grandchildren.  Jerry embarked on a career as a floral designer in his "retirement."

Trudy Johnson

Trudy Johnson has worked with children for over 30 years and she has directed Shalom Daycare since 2004.  Under her leadership our daycare ministry has flourished.  Trudy is married and she and her husband have two adult children and one grandson.  Trudy enjoys traveling to visit family and friends. 

Cindy Poehler-Levi

Cindy Levi joined the staff of Robert’s Park United Methodist Church as administrative assistant in 2005.  Prior to joining our staff Cindy worked 26 years for a local hospital.  Cindy is married, has one adult son and one granddaughter.  Cindy enjoys reading and spending time with family.  She says, “The best part of my job is getting to see the bright faces of the Shalom Daycare children everyday.”
