Prayer Blanket Ministry Print E-mail

The Roberts Park United Methodist Church Prayer Blanket Ministry began in 2007.  This ministry provides a custom-made fleece blanket embroidered with the recipients name and an appropriate scripture verse.  Prayer blankets are given to celebrate marriages, anniversaries, and births, as well as to send prayers for healing and strength to those recovering from illness.  The congregation consecrates each blanket during morning worship by laying their hands on the blankets and offering prayer.  Each Prayer Blanket is sure warm the heart of the recipient as it brings a symbol of prayers for God’s will to manifest in the life of the recipient.
