Though Christmas is often called “the most wonderful time of the year,” it can be far from that for those mourning the loss of a loved one, those far from home, those dealing with illness, suffering, or estrangement.
The Blue Christmas service offers a time of quiet reflection and remembrance for anyone who feels burdened as well as those who want to express support for them. It includes readings, gentle music offered by the Indy Winds Flute Choir and soloists from our congregation and the community, the lighting of candles, and a comforting message of hope that is the heart of Advent. Light refreshments will follow the service.
The service will take place in the sanctuary on Thursday, December 21, 2017, at 7 p.m.
