Children are a precious and valued part of our congregation and gather regularly for fellowship, faith formation, and fun. This page offers an insight to how Roberts Park serves its children and how you might be able to get involved.

Programs
Family Fun Worship

Each Thursday afternoon, Pastor Carmen and her monkey pal Indy lead a short family-friendly fun-time online. There are stories, songs, and fun and funny dance moves. These services can be viewed at your leisure on Facebook or YouTube.

Children's Worship & Wonder

Children who attend the 10:30 a.m. service are provided an opportunity to experience and learn about the church and teachings of the Bible in their own age-appropriate environment. Following the first hymn, children are dismissed from the sanctuary to accompany teachers to a classroom for a time devoted specifically to them. Read more about the Children’s Worship & Wonder program that was created by Disciples Home Missions.

Messy Church

Once every other month on Wednesday evenings, Roberts Park hosts an intergenerational event that brings together children and the adults and families that care about them for a casual gathering. A typical Messy Church will include music, crafts, a game or two, a light supper, and plenty of time for conversation and laughter.

Shalom Daycare

Shalom Daycare has been ministering to children in the community for many years. It is a registered ministry daycare with the state of Indiana that has served the community for over 20 years. For more information on the Daycare, click here. Additionally, at the Sunday morning worship service, a staff member from Shalom Daycare is available, if parents wish, to care for children under 3 years old.
