Pastor Carmen is a Licensed Local Pastor in the Central District of the Indiana Conference and a full-time student at Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis where she is studying for her Master’s in Divinity. She has always lived in central Indiana, although she and her husband enjoy their annual trip to the Rocky Mountains to visit friends and enjoy nature.
She graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Public Health and Health Administration although it has gotten very little use. Pastor Carmen owned a portrait photography business from 2010-2020 where she was able to challenge herself technically and engage her creative side. Her clients will tell you that Pastor Carmen will do anything to get “the shot” including laying in the middle of the street and asking you to watch for cars!
Pastor Carmen has been a life-long United Methodist (her parents met in the church youth group!) and she actively served in her home church, Pittsboro UMC, as a “professional volunteer” for over 15 years before answering her call to vocational ministry.
Pastor Carmen has been married to her husband, Sean, for 24 years and they have two amazing daughters together. Their oldest, Riley, studying for her masters degree in Social Work at Indiana Wesleyan while their youngest, Holly, is pursuing a degree in pre-vetrinary medicine.
In her spare-time, Pastor Carmen enjoys throwing pottery, gardening, photography, getting tattoos, cooking (NOT baking), and spending time with her family at Sweetwater Lake in Brown County. She is excited to see where God is leading her in this next chapter of ministry and is looking forward to serving alongside the faithful saints of Roberts Park UMC.
