For four decades,Diane has been an ordained Minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Her journey has taken her to various congregations, each with its unique character and challenges. From suburban churches to inner-city congregations, she’s had the privilege of serving diverse communities.
Diane's commitment extends beyond the local level. She's been involved in state regional work and contributed to our national efforts (referred to as “General” in Disciples circles, which includes Canada). These experiences have enriched her understanding of faith, community, and ministry.
Reverend Jerry Zehr, her husband and partner in life and faith, shares this calling. They’ve weathered the storms and celebrated the joys together. Their shared journey has been a testament to the power of love and shared purpose.
Their family tree has grown over the years. Jennifer (Andrew) Clouse, their elder daughter, has blossomed into a remarkable individual. With a background in business and finance, she’s making her mark in the world. Her children, Atticus (24) and Colette (22), represent the next generation. Atticus, the business enthusiast, is carving his path, while Colette, an informatics scholar, is poised for her first job in Madison, Wisconsin.
Carmel, where Jennifer and her family reside, became Diane's home. The vibrant community and family ties drew them there. Meanwhile, Lori, Diane's younger daughter, chose a different path. She lives independently in Baltimore, embracing life’s adventures.
As Diane reflects on these years of ministry, she is grateful for the people she's met, the lessons learned, and the faith that sustains her. May our paths continue to intersect, weaving a tapestry of love, service, and grace.
